Heavy combat encompasses all the fighting that one might consider close quarter, hand to hand combat.

On the flip side of that coin is the plumed combatant, those people who contribute their deadly arts from afar. Using throwing weapons, siege engines and even the trusty bow, these combatants can easily effect the outcomes of mixed scenarios.

For safety reasons, these fighter must keep to a minimum distance before they can deliver their deadly payloads, and to offset this it means they "die" easily if an enemy manages to close within that distance. It is therefore crucial that the heavies of Phoenix Rise keep them defended.

Being a plumed participant is great for those people that think they may lack the bulk or aggression required to be a heavy, and either want to help the team out or just get a better closer spot to watch from.

Combat archery is the main form of plumed combatants that Phoenix Rise currently has. They train their skills for accuracy, reload speed, dodging, teamwork and even arrow catching to better themselves in either light tournaments or war. we do training for this at War Training
